...a place for reflection and interchange
We are honored to be able to build a park dedicated to peace and diversity in this beautiful place, which the Native American peoples in the area have always recognized as sacred. Red Bluff is one of five cities worldwide that are home to a regional Park of Silo’s Message; other parks are located in Rome, Italy; Alexandria, Egypt; Bombay, India; and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Red Bluff Park was purchased on March 31, 2006 thanks to donations from individuals all over North America. We will be
constructing a multi-purpose building and a beautiful spherical dome on the property, as well as a decorative water fountain, picnic benches and a tall stainless steel column marking the opening of the park.
An Open Invitation
Red Bluff Park is for the use and enjoyment of all people of nonviolence. Once the hall and multi-purpose buildings
are built they will be available through Pangea World Community,
our 501-C3 nonprofit organization.* Groups and individuals from all over North America will be able to rent the facilities for meetings, conferences, parties, celebrations, ceremonies and other public events.
We hope that many people in the Red Bluff area and elsewhere will use this Park as a meeting place for their own activities for a peaceful world, and that some will also be inspired to form their own communities around these simple ideas and practices.
The property
The site for the North Hall was purchased on March 31, 2006 in Red Bluff, California thanks to the support of over 165 people, coming from within the Northern region, including Haiti, the Dominican Republic and also from friends in Africa, Argentina, Chile, England, Iceland, Italy, peru and Spain.
It is a 4.5-acre parcel located in an agricultural area just 2 miles outside of Red Bluff city limits, bordering on historic Highway 99E. Two sides are bordered by Salt Creek, the back is bordered by a prune orchard. The front of the property lies on the beginning of a curve of the highway, making it visible for about a mile as you travel West.
The land is also very close to highway I-5, a major North-South freeway running from Mexico to Canada and connected by freeways to all parts of the country
